Hot air balloons fly by heating the air inside the balloon, making it less dense than the outside air. While balloons cannot be steered, our licensed pilots navigate using different wind currents at various altitudes to control the direction of the flight.

All flights depart from the Volé en Globo balloon port early in the morning, with an exact time based on the sunrise. If the first flight fills up, a second flight will be opened, departing 1 to 1.5 hours later.

No. Since hot air balloons cannot be steered, they will land in a different location. Our dedicated ground crew follows the balloon throughout the entire flight and will be there to greet you upon landing.

Our balloons have a capacity of 2 to 10 passengers.

The local authority provides the general safety assessment; the pilot makes the final on-site decision. If weather is unsafe, non-promotional bookings may be rescheduled or refunded under the refund rules below. Promotional bookings may only be rescheduled. Advance cancellations are communicated by our online operations team by email and phone; sudden on-site cancellations are explained by the pilot.

For eligible cancellations, the full booking amount is refundable except for services already used and special items already purchased. The agency may choose to waive deductions for used services. Special items remain the customer’s property and can be collected at our office. Refunds are processed through Stripe to the original payment method within 30 days of cancellation. Unsafe weather: reschedule or receive a refund. Cancel at least 24 hours before your scheduled flight (Mexico City time) for a refund or rescheduling, subject to availability. Within 24 hours or for a no-show: no refund or rescheduling.

Promotional bookings are non-refundable and may be rescheduled only for operational issues on our side, including unsafe weather. Used services are deducted unless the agency waives the deduction. Special items already purchased are non-refundable and remain yours to collect at our office.

We highly recommend booking at least 24 hours in advance. Flights without a reservation are subject to availability upon arrival at the balloon port.

The minimum age to fly is generally 4 years old. This can vary depending on the child's height, as they must be tall enough to see over the edge of the basket. There is no maximum age, but all passengers must be able to stand unassisted for the entire flight.

The maximum weight per person is 110 kg. An extra fee can be applied for passengers over this weight, with a hard maximum of 150 kg per passenger. For safety reasons, pregnant women are not permitted to fly. We recommend consulting with your doctor before booking if you have any physical limitations.
